User accounts problem after using CCleaner
This may actually be a very XP specific problem, but the Thinkpad forum seems a good place to ask this since I am not sure what the Thinkpad software does to the user account seetings and may have something to do with my problems: I set up a limited user account for my wife on my new T60. The first ...

USB stick security
I am looking for a simple solution to secure the data on USB sticks. Something that requires a password without installing additional software on the host PC and works on multiple platforms (XP, Linux, maybe Mac). Is that even possible?

[...] What "other computers" are of interest? [...] What is this statement and judgement based on? Direct comparison to what? [...] I find the Flexview a significant advancement. No doubt, the IPS screens are very nice. And yes, I had a chance to compare a 14" SXGA+, a 15" SXGA+ (non flexview) and ...

The other thing to make sure is that you are actually getting a flexview screen. I noticed that there is a lot of misleading and conflicting information floating around. Some people may tell you that all 15" screens have "flexview" technology others may tell you it's not available at all anylonger....

You're absolutely right. It is all a matter of what your needs are. As a semi-pro photographer I would ceratainly look at other computers too. What you are referring to as far as the "brighter"and "better" 15" screen is concerned, you probably mean the "flexview" technology. It's slightly better but...

Re: T60p (15") vs MacBook Pro screen?
A few notes since I was looking into similar options recently: Some people may tell you that you are comparing apples and oranges (no pun intended). I actually came pretty close to buying a MacBook pro myself but decided that for my needs, the ThinkPad was better and probably more reliable. I am sur...

I used to do work with a company that had named its computers on its network after objects in the solar system, mostly Saturn's moons. Yahoo Widgets is based on the original concept (Konfabulator). IMHO Google Desktop is well worth it... turn off that useless windows search utility. Hi Matt, If I may suggest, rather than going by what the store tells you, I would simply ask for the model number (such 2623 D6U, etc.) and then go look it up on the lenovo site, you will get all the correct specs there. By the way you may want to do a price check on one of the online retailer such...
