They should be identical in chip-usage. After all, the Celeron is just a castrated Pentium with less internal cache.

It might be easier to buy an external USB hard disk, or partition the internal HD. Then get Acronis TrueImage and take an image that you can store on that other HD/partition. If anything fails, you can boot from the Acronis CD and restore your saved image a lot faster than restoring using a pack of ...

That K888111dk.exe is probably a self-extracting file. You may need to install from the created subdirectory, or update the drivers from Device Manager, pointing to that directory.

the -10U or -20U or other versions are irrelevant, they just designate the type of plug that is on the power cord. If it does not suit your country's system, just cut it off and replace with a 'local' plug.

Any USB wireless mouse will do. Good ones are the Logitech V450 or the VX, or the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000. The USB-dongles from Logitech are much smaller than the MS ones and store inside the mouse. The MS ones stick out when put at the bottom for storage. A 150W power inverter ...

Go in Device Manager, click on View and tick "show hidden devices".
If your'old' unit is there, uninstall/remove it. Try again.
If that does not work, uninstall all of your USB stuff.
Then reboot, and XP should reinstall it. Your adapter should now also be recognized (again).
