Thanks for this post. I have almost the same config except no turbo memory (WWAN instead). Can you please tell us if you notice any difference between 32 and 64 bit? I am looking to change to x64 bit next week to be able to use 4gb of ram. Do applications launch faster? Does the machine wake from sl...

i am doing this now, and you will need to tint your windows but on very bright days it will be a little difficult to use. If you look at the multi touch demo on tabletpcreview, he compares it to the other screen types outdoors and should give you a really good idea of what you are up against.

did the best buy thing went from 100gb 7200 hitachi drive on my x61t and it helped a little but definitely a case of diminishing return. Vista index for hard drive went from 5.0 to 5.4. Was it worth $130? still not sure as I will never use the 200gb worth of space.

My X61T is working great with the Linksys WRT330N Wireles Gaming Router. I can't imagine that the WRT350N is that much different...are you sure you have it configured correctly? Also, if you are using Windows Vista...it will only report the wireless radio as a "Wireless G" device, not a "Wireless N...

the only way I have been able to deal with this is setting up a profile in thinkpad presentation director, then everytime I re-dock, I hit "fn" and the corresponding presentation director button on the thinkpad keyboard. Takes about 4 seconds including waiting for windows to re-adjust everything.

running x61t with x base and it works like a champ. The only frustration I have is going from doc'd to undocked it sometimes does not switch back to the notebook screen, so reboot is required. Also, it does not always re-adjust the display resolution. Plenty fast though. Regarding hard drive speed. ...

I would agree with everyone else on the ibm card UNTIL you talk about the new intel card in the x61. I had to make the same decission and chose the intel. Should offer better reception than the ibm card as well (3 antennas).

oh yeah forgot to mention, 1.5 and 1.6 and some 1.7 dothans may not work in your t series. Safest bet is to get one that was manufactured in 2003 as it should be in the most recent bios and controller(controller last updated 2004).
