I solved the problem! I uninstalled Presentation Director.
Works great now. Don't know why though.

When I change the settings of the laptop screen in Presentation Director it changes the settings to the projector to match for some reason. My laptop default is 1400x1050. I'm pretty sure it's the drive. I've tried discs from many different companies and burned on different software with the same problem.

Fortunately, I found out they're under warranty. Hopefully, I'll get a better one this time.

I have a T43 and I'm having real difficulty reading a lot of DVDs. After some chewing on the disc the drive will show the contents but if I try to copy it doesn't go anywhere. Some DVDs it won't even see. The DVDs play in other players.

Any thoughts?
