T60 Hard Drive Compatibility
I am planning to move my current Toshiba 5400RPM 120gb hard drive to the Ultrabay slot with the adapter. I would like to buy a new 7200 primary hard drive, but the only brands I can find on newegg are Hitachi and Seagate. Do these brands fit well inside the Tt60 hard drive slot? I ask because I have...

Apparently, the BIOS error came from shutting off the computer improperly. Somehow, everything works now and I am able to restore my computer! It turns out you cannot use the T60p restore DVD for the T60 though. I called Lenovo and they agreed to send me the Restore CD's for free. I had to talk to t...

"Product Recovery function has been removed"
Hello, I have a T60 and reinstalled Vista and reformatted my hard drive in the process. I did some system updates and my system had trouble booting up. So I am now attempting to recover the system through the Recovery Disk that I made from another T60. I can enter Rescue and Recovery, but when I try...

I have updated my BIOS before (a long time ago), but I remember I had to use a special Lenovo BIOS update program. This time, I just used Lenovo System Update and selected two fairly standard updates. I think one was an ethernet adapter update and another was a wireless thing. So, I no longer believ...

It might have been a BIOS update! And yes I did do it on battery. I recently connected my laptop to an external monitor and I could see the screen. It said "CMOS checksum bad", but that may only be temporary from me powering off the computer by force so many times. I was able to get into system reco...

Laptop dead after reinstalling Vista?
Hello, I have a T60 8744-5BU. I had upgraded to Vista a couple months ago and decided to do a clean reinstall this morning using the upgrade CD. The reinstall went fine and Vista booted up. I then downloaded system update and updated a few things. After the updates, the computer rebooted. When I ret...

Vista boot super slow
I have a T60 8744-5BU with T7200 processor and 1 gig RAM. I upgraded to Vista and it runs quite fine, but the boot, shut down, and hibernate are so slow that i am seriously considering reinstalling XP or upgrading ram to 2 gig or 3 gig. So, do you think my problem can be fixed by adding more RAM? Ho...

T60 Keyboard Issue
Hello, I have a T60 15.4" widescreen (8744-5BU) for personal use and a T60p 14.1" (2008-83U) for work. I bought my T60 widescreen in January and had always suspected the keyboard was overly soft, and lacking the typical IBM "crunch"; ie, the keys seem to depress too easily and not deep enough. Well ...

Hello,
Recently the green volume bar that pops up when you use the keyboard volumes controls has disappeared. How can I get them back?

T60 WS with Fedora 6 *problems*
I installed Fedora 6 on my T60 widescreen and cannot get the resolution to display correctly. I also cannot get the wireless to work (Atheros a/b/g/n). Does anyone know how to solve these problems?
Thanks.
Thanks.
