After so much frustration, removed zone alarm on safe mode. when i restarted the system it rebooted fine. no problems. not sure wether this is a fluke and i got lu...

FEEDBACK FOR THOSE AFFRAID OF TAKING THE PLUNG WITH T42P
Skeptical? Can't make up your mind? sacrifice one thing instead of another? You are not alone!! Like many of you, I had all these questions. My concerns were ...the resolution, as I wanted the Krispest, Sharpest screen without going blind. Even though I'm already blind. But at the same time, going w...

VIDEO CARDS ON T42/T42P?
Most likely ready to buy t42(1400x1050) instead of t42p(1600x1200) cause i think the res will be too high and too difficult for me to read on 1600x1200. However, the 64mb video card is kinda of getting a bit old. Especially if I'm planning to buy this laptop now, I just can't see how good a 64mb vid...

FRUSTRATION ON RESOLUTION ON 15" ON 74 & T42P ONLY!
If you are replying to this, please no super technicalities. it's not needed. At this point I've read too much from all forums here and others in regards to screen resolutions. After much debate, I find myself still in the same place from where I started. I'm pretty sure others are going through the...

I'M NOT SURE MY QUESTION WAS ANSWERED? I'M NOT SURE WEATHER IT IS THE SCREEN OR THE VIDEO CARD THAT ALLOWS THE FLEXIBILITY TO SWITCH RESOLUTION....BUT HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS. DEPENDING ON THE VIDEO CARD (MY OPTIONS-RADEON 9600 OR ATI 128MB)... TO WHICH RESOLUTIONS FROM THE 1600X1200 UXGA CAN I LOWER...

I'm ready to buy either a t42 or t42P. I am realtor. need system for lots of Internet Explorer and home pics and virtual tours. went to office depot to check for resolutions. It appears to me that 1400x1050 is a bit small to show websites and so forth to customers via my laptop (not external monitor...
