I have many i1300's running XP with 128mb ram. It is not as fast as 98se but no slower than 2kPro. Mine have no networking installed onboard except Modem. Using Lynksys cards right now. They are being donated to a youth camp for general surfing and letter writing.

i1300 and HDD issue

OK Cobbling together a couple of 1171-8XU's PITA to load Winblows 2k on.... Loaded on to a T22 then swapped the hard drive after the the 2nd, your computer will now reboot. Tried 3 HDDs, one works fine in either systems (i1300 X 2, T22 or T23) and boots normally. The other 2 work fine in the T's but...

Im thinking mine are atleast 4 to 10 times thicker than the OEM ones. All kidding aside they have to be approaching 1/4 of an inch by 1/4 of an inch by 2 inches long.

Thanks for the pictures

Its odd, on the Lynksys, where I got excellent, I now get very good
BUT
Where I got good before, I now get very good.
Maybe the dual antennas are kicking in?

The T22 (t23) is a pain to load 2kPro onto, I own 2 and have had to reload each a couple of times. It can be done....but you are not going to enjoy it. That said, I have a couple of the docking stations that allow the Floppy in the lap top and a dvd or cdrw in the base. By FAR the easiest way to do ...
