I found a work around by changing the BIOS to compatibility mode. No clue, but its something to do with the chip set vs. the SSD controler.

When I picked mine up, I used the SLIC 2.1 method, and with the attending 178 updates, it took a little over 18 hours.

Under an hour to load 7
Under an hour to find the updates
At least 16 hours to download and update the system.

I found both of those also, one is a hack, the other is for the W02. It worked fine, the problem was the charging LED would never go off, until it killed the battery! I switched drivers to the older GM945 from the Intel all in one, then also loaded the monitor driver. Everything says 1680, even in the Device Manager best I can do 1440

OK now that Im a little clearer, I have an X130e that lost its SLIC 2.1, and defies all logic of putting it back in. It came originally with 2.1 installed but no matter what I have tried, I cant get it to go back. I used a different method to re-load, what was already factory ... without a SLIC bein...

George, if I understand the question: I have moved a HDD from a ATI T500 to a Intel T500, it really did not like the move at first but after it rebooted it ran fine and the W7 stayed activated on both machines.
