Re: T400 Screen Turns off and won't coem back on

I see the same issue intermittently with my T500 running Win7 Ent x64. I just hit Fn+F4 to put the machine back in sleep mode, and then resume again. It works every time. But yes, the behavior is annoying.

Re: T500 Fingerprint log on?

I have a related problem with my T500. Fingerprint logon works like a charm if the machine is in a workgroup configuration. However, as soon as I join the machine to a domain, swiping my finger results in a green "succeeded" message, followed by an error message: "The domain name is invalid." I did ...

Re: Biometric Devices in Windows 7

Immediately after posting my question and reporting the compatibility problem via the Windows 7 feedback tools, the Action Center provided me with a link to download updated drivers from http://www.authentec.com/win7update/W7Wbf64.exe. Problem solved.

Yeah, you nailed it. Disabling the VT features solved the problem for me, too. Unfortunately, that "solution" doesn't help me since I rely heavily on virtualization for my labs and customer demos. Hopefully Lenovo will address the issue at some point.

Thanks for the info.

Strange startup behavior

My T500 with Vista Enterprise x64 is exhibiting strange startup behavior. During a cold or warm boot, the machine displays the ThinkPad POST screen, and then appears to search for a boot device...and then reboots. On the second try, the machine displays POST again and then enters the normal Vista bo...
