Charging
There are basically 4 parts to the battery charge system 1: power supply, it is possible you have the wrong one, the 600 will opperate on a much lower voltage than is required to charge You need 16 VDC at a bit over 3 amps per the label on my brick (16 v 3.3 a) 2: The charging circuit in the compute...

Win-98se on a 600E
I'm using 98se on my 600E 2645-8AU but with almost 300 Meg of ram Do get all the IBM support disks (you can download the lot) And when you find a file called APM2APM.REG (Note this is for 98se, don't know about 98, but do know it's needed in 98se) invoke it one time Fixes a yellow exclamation point ...

Well, upon power on this AM I viewed that icon, It looks a bit like a Macintosh or an IBM PC-Junior It's a standard representation for "Computer" so the icons together say "Computer is Locked" Gee. It appears then that it's not an S-Video plug, as I said, my comments were simply a description of S-Video I have a DVD player (portable) that uses a 3-wire plug for video out, the 3rd wire (ring) is digital audio (S/Pdif type) I am not suggesting anything here Some systems use the ring as a second ...

The IRQ conflict I've seen with Thinkpad 600's is always with the Hard Drive controllers. Not the printer ports.. How many printer ports does it have (Most laptops have one) so the printer port either is, or is not, an ecp port. (The other port, if it has one is the Infra Red port, and that has to b...

FOrmatting in FAT wint Windows xp
It is even easier than that, Windows XP should offer you the OPTION of formatting in FAT-32 if you ask it. No special tricks required, the format disk utility has options If not, then we can do all sorts of fun things for you but I believe Win-xp can format a disk in fat-32. Will check when I'm at h...
