Have you entered the APN of your provider? Can't remember where this is done in AC. Also, does your providers network show up in Windows list of wireless connections? I ended up removing Access Connections and just using Win7's built in functions. Turned out to be much more stable. If your Ericson i...

That is great news indeed!!!

Don't know how to thank you enough. And whoever made the BIOS must be a super guy, putting all this effort into something he gives away for free. We could all learn something from that.

I know that. I have the X61s, which has the Santa Rosa chipset. Theoretically it should be possible.

Thanks for the photos. Looks quite bulky.

On the last one I assume we see the 12 cell together with the extended battery. But what is the big case on the second photo from the end? Doesn't look like a dock to me.

How long can you run on the 12 cell + extenden battery?

I think CPU-Z isn't reporting the true speed. I read somewhere that the speed is halfed internally in the CPU, which CPU-Z can't detect. So it's probably going 800 MHz. Am also curious about the ULV processor. The fastest is SU9600 running at 1.6 GHz and FSB is only 800MHz. Could be interesting to h...

Here's the Screen shot. My Wifi was on, and the screen brightness was set to 2 bars. I got around 5.16W. Obviously, this was just idling. Even with the brightness set to 10, it till only draws about 5.70W. That's really impressive. The X200s should be able to beat that. And i see you don't even hav...

Re: 12 Cell Battery for X61s

My battery takes 96220mWh at full charge, and yes it takes forever to charge back to full capasity! The original 8cell is 74880mWh, so the 12 cell in this case should give just under 25% more runtime. The extended battery gives 28000mWh, so that would be 102880 mWh together which amounts to 37,4% m...

Sounds like you need a new CCFL in your X61t. An old worn out CCFL is dimmer and more yellow than a new. It's a bit tricky, but very cheap replacement (~10$). Also, the LCD's used in tablets are of much higher quality than those used in the non-tablets. I changed the display in my X61s to a tablet d...

How many Watthours do you get under 'Full charge capacity' with the 12 cell? I remember buying some of the eBay batteries for my T4x's, and they never delivered the capacity that was promised. I've found out that playing an mp3 file on my X61s jumps the power consumption from 6,7W to 10-12W. This seems a bit wild to me, but it is consistent whether i change drivers or operating system (tried Win2008R2 and XP). Can any of you with the X200s do a mp3 playback test and check your wattage? If it shows up in sound drivers and drivers installed correctly, you should be alright and don't need a modded BIOS.

Which player are you using? I think the players with built in codecs like VLC and SMPlayer won't take advantage of the card.

Thanks for all the good ideas presented here. I did some more testing. So far I think CoreAVC delivers the smoothest playback. Actually better than the Broadcom Crystal HD! First line of description says:

PLEASE READ THIS DESC. TO AVOID WRONG PURCHASE. This is a Non-IPS Flexview LCD. This is Standard Laptop LCD.

And then it says it is a compatible display. I wouldn't buy it. Usually these compatible screen are cheap and bad quality or turn out to be incompatible.

when I connect the SXGA+ screen with the cable I'm getting a lot of shimmer on the LCD. This might be the same problem I had with the cable I build for myself. I also used non-coax wires.
