Re: 60GB SSD 41W0736 WTF?
I'd just like to report that I finally got my lenovo ssd today :) Installation could not of been easier - pull out old - change cover to new - push in new I was a bit worried after I read this before getting the SSD, but I'm happy to report I did not experience any problems as all with my X40. As fo...

The MCCOE64GEMPP was the SSD used in the first macbook air, about 1.5yrs ago. http://www.anandtech.com/mac/showdoc.aspx?i=3226&p=14 And, it appears that it's an SLC :) (description of first result) http://www.dvnation.com/results.html?domains=www.dvnation.com&q=MCCOE64GEMPP&sa=Search&sitesearch=www....

Re: 60GB SSD 41W0736 WTF?
Lenovo wants $1,331.00 for one? It must be good, so I bought one, off eBay :) Benchmarks might be a bit slower for the lenovo one then the Kingspec, but on the other hand I don't think Lenovo would be selling a jmicron ssd. Could they have used something a bit better to get rid of the stuttering? I'...

X40 Stays at Bios Screen for a while, then Boots
Just a strange thing happened today. I wanted to power on my X40, but all it did was sit on the Ibm Thinkpad Bios screen, and nothing, no hdd activity light. Pressing the Access IBM button also did nothing. I was able to enter the BIOS and reset default options with F9, and upon rebooting it also di...

I'm happy to report that the 2yr old battery behaves like it just rolled out of the factory.
Takes a full charge and works great. I'm happy with the purchase.

I'd suggest trying to use dban to wipe the disk completely clean of any remaining problematic partition information and trying once more

Old New Battery for X40?
I've recently purchased an X40 (still waiting for the package) and though I'd go ahead and buy a new battery for it right away since the one it has was advertised as lasting only about 1.5hours (8cell) So I started my quest for a new 8-cell battery. eBay gave me chineese sellers, that Denaq from the...
