That thread is old, and says it should work with a new chipset. Anyone have any newer information? I just bought an x201t but skipped on the ultrabase just for this reason. I'll call Lenovo and see what they say...

So I think I'm going to buy an X201t. I plan on using it in medical school, so I'd like to be able to use it to take notes. Does anyone have any experience using the stylus, and the associated software? Any reviews/opinions on the "tablet" features?

Hey guys... so, the DVD drive on my T40 literally just fell out. It's in pieces... I think it's just from reckless use for 7 years. I was wondering if I could upgrade to a new drive... Blu-Ray seems like a pipe dream, but possibly a DVD writeable drive? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Just another thought- since I'm going in there anyway, is there anything else I should consider replacing? Maintenance type things, or potential upgrades?

So if you were to quantify the basic upgrades to a T40, where would a Dothan 745 rank? I upgraded to a 5400 rpm hard drive, and I've just bought 2 sticks of 1 gb RAM... I figured those would be the most beneficial. Does a CPU upgrade make as big of a difference as either of those?
