Re: AppleIntelGMAX3100 64 bits
So after a few experiment
10.6.2 contains 64 bit kexts for X3100
10.6.3 does not
64 bits kexts breaks QE/CI on 32 and 64 boot ?!! so I am back in 32 bit world :-/
From what I've read this the same deal for real mac computers but I'd like confirmation about that

Re: AppleIntelGMAX3100 64 bits
Yes
AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext
AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext
AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin
AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle
AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle
AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext
That's strange because in 32 bit I did not patch anything for the graphic
card so it should work the same.

Re: AppleIntelGMAX3100 64 bits
Thank you for that ! I found the 64 bit drivers in the 10.6.2
I add a 10.6.3 and they were 32. That's crazy
It's running fine now on my T61 but for some reason I don't have QE working
in 64 bit whereas it works fine in 32 bit

AppleIntelGMAX3100 64 bits
Hello there, I've looked everywhere and can't find the x64 driver for the GMA X3100 A lot of forums are claiming that SL 10.6.2 provides it but not in my install. I also have access to a real mac which is up to date and has only 32 bits driver. Could someone point me in the right direction please ? ...

Choose SXGA+ screen for T61
I've read extensively every bit of information I could find on this forum and on other resources but I still don't know what the best SXGA+ screen for T61. I've found several on the net for sell. For example LCD PANEL 42T0431 or PANEL 42T0369 on ebay ? How can I select one instead of another. They a...

T61 replace wide screen by 4:3 possible ?
Sorry if the question has already been asked. I've looked everywhere in the forum but did not find the answer.
Is it possible to replace a widescreen by a 4:3 screen if I buy a new bezel ?
I'd like to replace a WXGA (or SWXGA) by a SXGA+

Re: Snow leopard on X60s
Getting closer I removed AppleLPC.kext (said to be problematic with thinkpads) and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext from Extra so the power management is enable. I rebuilded extention.kext Now sleep seems to work (lcd off and harddrive stops spinning) but when I wake up i get back the screen but no keybo...

I don't have the laptop with me right now so I can't check but I didn't do anything for the update.
The /Extra dir was not touch during the update so it kept working. I use cameleon as a boot
loader.
I'll try to post more details

Re: Snow leopard on X60s
Replying to myself
It works but not sure why
I specified the resolution in com.apple.boot.plist and also reinstall
GMA950 kext
Anyway snow leopard is now working on my X60s
Wifi works, bluetooth too and trackpoint
just got to configure sound and test if power management works

Snow leopard on X60s
Works fine with external VGA monitor (1024x768) but not with internal LCD.
It hangs at grey screen at the end of the boot process
I'm stuck because it seems I have the good kext for the card (GMA950) and I
don't know what else to do
Any idea ?

Re: Getting crazy with boot from USB
Thanks for your reply
It's an installation of windows 7 which I can boot from a usb key
following the same procedure.
But generally speaking I never succeeded at booting anything from
an external hard drive. I also tried with an ubuntu distrib.
Worked from the key, not from the disk
