X61s & 3G Modem Support
I'm guessing this might have been answered previously, but near the RAM slot on my x61s I noticed you can add a SIM card for 3G usage. I've been advised that not all x60 and x61s support 3G even through the SIM slot is built into the board as standard. Just wanted to know if there is a 3G mondem dau...

Re: IBM 755c White Screen
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make any different when I change contrast or bright settings on the side of the monitor. I tried playing around with the IBM hotkeys with no luck
I uploaded a photo of what it looks like.

IBM 755c White Screen
The LCD on my old 755c now just comes up as a white screen when I start it. If I plug a external monitor in it works perfectly. Would I be correct in thinking the inverter has died?
Or should I be looking for an issue else where?

Re: Thinkpad 730t
Thanks hwattys. I have an old 390X laying around so hopefully that adapter will do the trick, but I will double check.

Re: How to slow down imminent failure of GPU?
I tried a small piece of cardboard and a bit of blutack on a broken T61p last night which is the same suggestion JesseKnows gave. It wouldn't boot past the Windows XP Logo screen and so far with the fix it has been working like a gem. I guess only time will tell how long the solution will last. I'm ...

Re: Thinkpad 730t
I have an old 730TE that someone gave me that I have never been able to get going as I don't have a AC adapter to go with it. Do either of you know the the FRU of the AC adapter and where to get one?

Re: X31 or X40?
I second that, I picked up my X31 about 5 years ago secondhand for $AU300 and it hasn't skipped a beat. There were a couple of cracks near the screws when I purchased it (super glue works wonders). It gets kicked around a lot and has been everywhere with me. I use it as my primary computer as I'm no...
