You can get 6 cells. I wasn't so fond of the weird bezel on the s30, but I'd gladly take it. :D

Sony's design styles are hit and miss with me. Some are neat and not too flashy, but some are just kinda there. :\

Re: Ultranav Travel Keyboards on ebay, pack of 10. Group buy?

If and when everyone who posted first has their fill of keyboards, and there just happens to be one extra, PM me the exact price. Maybe by then I'll have a new thinkpad and will be able to buy other things again. ;)

Re: Deal or no deal?

Most definitely. :P Every day something new fails on it... it's been reduced to a word processor that has to have a PS/2 mouse plugged in and be near a wall outlet. Although, the battery's been like that since day one. :P There was a modification I was going to do to put a PIII in it, but that just ...

Yea, I can't wait! Like a little kid at Christmas.

I don't know why they removed those things, but the x61 is still thinkpad enough for me to want it. :) I wasn't quite as fond of the x200's looks, but I could never afford that anyway.

There gets to be a point when something is too small, though. :o But I'd have to see it in person before I gave my real final verdict.

Buy yerself an ideapad S10, stylish little booger that does everything right except for the lack of a trackpoint. :D

Re: Ebay rant, when did they start doing involuntary holds?

I'm not too worried about Craigslist. It doesn't enforce anything and warns the users of potential fraud. That's it. If they change Craigslist's fundamental idea of letting the users run it and not getting too involved, then it's no longer craigslist and everyone will flock to another site.

Re: Sony Vaio P Series

This thing is a glorified altoid tin with no class whatsoever. Ugly as poo and way too small and oddly proportioned for me to even consider for more than 1/234235435th of a second. The screen size coupled with the high resolution would kill your eyes, and the weird long design makes the mouse button...

A couple companies have trackpoints on their ultraportables, but none of them compare to the Thinkpad trackpoint.

Maybe I ought to drop the idea of an X61 tablet and just get an x61s... :?

First reaction is that it would run it-- Google Earth isn't really all that graphics-intensive. I may be able to install google earth on a nearby S10... If I do, I'll get back to you on it. :D

The screen is already 10.2" and the trackpad is already multi-touch. O_o It's just a software update with the VeriFace. Must have been a slip on Lenovo's part, because more than one place is reporting this.

LF: Anyone who bought an X61 tablet for 50% off

Hello! This is a long shot, but worth a try. I'm looking into buying an X61 Tablet, and I was wondering if anyone snatched an extra one up back when they had the 50% off deal. Maybe you could make a bit extra and help a fellow thinkpad user out. :D Anyway, I've got $700 toward it, maybe a bit more s...

I would probably be a lot more interested in getting myself an S10 (sis has one) if it had a trackpoint. Now that I think about it, though there are so many things that Lenovo could do to make a Thinkpad netbook awesome and better than all others that probably wouldn't get done or at least botched. ...

Thinkpad netbook

Who here, if they had the required money, would give their left arm to have a Thinkpad netbook? Or, rather, mini-notebook, a la the S10? I've never seen a 240, but I gather that it was close to this. So, do you think a mini-thinkpad would sell well? Though I didn't like the weird form factor of the ...
