Skip all the memory-saving, software-tweaking techniques and upgrade to ATLEAST 1gb of ram. you dont want to limit a great thinkpad by slowing it down with so little ram. if your cheap though you could always disable unneeded services, startup items, and systray items that are hogging up your ram.

Thanks for the replies. As it turns out I do have the 3 year warranty that covers accidental spills. Now I dont have to be hyper-paranoid about spilling coffee on my thinkpad!

Voided Warranties

I had a dead or stuck pixel, im not sure which one. I looked around for ideas on how to fix one if possible on the internet, and it said that some people can 'reset' their pixels by firmly rubbing the area of the LCD with cotton, or other soft material. I use klearscreen cleaning wipes. They contain specially formulated wet/dry cloths. I also use a Shaggymac 14" LCD protector that fits between the lcd and the keyboard when you close your laptop. That way you dont get oil transfer from the keyboard to the LCD. It also doubles as a gentle dust remove...

I just got my new T43p in yesterday.. Its sweet! I ordered it on june 21, and it arrived at 9:30 AM on the 29th! The predicted ship date was july 11th, so it arrived very early.
