Dumb question? What can a Z50 do that a 365XD can't?
I see a few people on eBay touting the Z50 as the ulitimate PDA. Looks to be the same size as my old 365XD and also looks to do less. Am I missing somethng in the translation? What is so great about the Z50? Windows CE?

I've seen them on fleabay--not cheap. Is there a place that sells them reasonable?

IMHO a futile gesture. Like trying to supercharge a lawnmower engine. The 365 is a decent machine but not a brilliant machine. It's a shame too, to nice to trash and too old to bother with. I use my 365XD for traveling. If lost, stolen or dropped I'm not out much. I only use it for MS Word and inter...

Probably just needs the newest BIOS from the IBM site. I'm searching right now in my junk box for a 128MB card to try in the 365. The worst it can do is just sit there and grunt at me. BTW the memory does not have to be IBM brand to work in the 365 but it does balk at some memory sticks for some rea...

Now mind you, I only have a 6.4GB Travelstar harddrive in my 365 but Kahlon.com says they have a 10m and 20GB that will work in the 365. Price for the 20GB should be in the $85 range. New with 1yr warranty. As far as Linux goes, I was thinking along the lines of KDE and I know KDE likes memory and l...

From what I have heard, non IBM may not always be a problem but could be a problem. I figured I could buy memory cheaper but I might buy stuff I couldn't use. By the way, I did check with Kahlon.com and they have memory for the 365 at $33 for 128MB I spent $24. Kahlon has memory for a lot of older l...

365XD--sorry for being a pest
Will a WI-FI card work with this older system? How about USB card? I know this thing is ancient but I still like it and use it often when visiting not so nice areas in our great country. I now have it to 72meg RAM with a 6.4 GB hard drive with Windows 98SE installed. Any comments? Thanks mi-oldradio...

Thanks. I saw an auction on fleabay for 64MB card that was supposed to fit in a 365XD along with many other TP's. I thought 40 was max and thats why I had to ask. The HD OTOH is a horse of a different color. I have a 6.4GB Travelstar I just might try there. Thanks. mi-oldradios in hurricane alley (O...

Manual needed for 600X
I would like the service and user manual for a P III 650 mhz TP 600X. I know I've downloaded manuals from IBM but can't seem to find these for some reason. Thanks.

Well if you can get by that it is slower than more modern hardware, it is certainly a great machine for MS word and Excel, Office 97 style. It will run Windows 95 well even if it only has 8 meg RAM. It can be used on the internet with a 56K PCMCIA modem. I can say these things because I have a 365XD...

How to boot from CD on a 365XD
I have a 365XD that I wish to boot from the CD as I do in newer equipment. Can this be done with this model? How? When I go to setup it doesn't know the CD drive is there but I can use it when in Windows. Guess I'm missing something.
Thanks
