Re: Is 600x 650mhz a unicorn?

Forum member jamiphar modded his to 1GHz probably about a decade or so ago...that system had a few other mods as well. I haven't heard from him in years, but I'm reasonably certain that there are posts addressing the mod in question somewhere on this forum... Can't find any one specific thread abou...

Re: Is 600x 650mhz a unicorn?

1) They are definitely less common then their 450/500Mhz counterparts, but not a unicorn. I'd say probably one every few weeks or so. Usually need to look for the specific type number as the Mhz is almost always listed wrong or not at all. 2) I believe people have and it works at full speed. 3) here...

That's what I was looking for, thanks.
Good thing on the T480 is you can run on internal battery only if you don't need to use it, i.e at home. The bulge is not comfortable when using the laptop on your lap
Umm...you can get a slim 3 cell for it so that the battery is flush with the bottom.

I'm not an electrical engineer by any means, and I'm probably way oversimplying this, but P = V * I. By reducing the voltage and holding current constant, you will reduce the total power demand and therefore reduce the heat generated.
Yeah that's pretty much bang on. :thumbs-UP:

This is good to know, but is the T450 of yours able to match or even beat the W700's sound quality? I'm curious. Well I can put them side by side if you would like? Probably edge still the T450...but the W700 is still good. If I can get Dolby Advanced on the W700, then the W700 would probably win. ...

I've done a bit of research on this, and IIRC it's possible, but you have to remove the entire lid from the rest of the laptop, hook up the screen to an LCD controller board so it becomes a standalone monitor, then start digging through http://forum.bongofish.co.uk/ for ideas how to hook up the dig...

I don't personally feel much of a difference that can be specifically attributed to the backlit keyboards. There is some variation between keyboard manufacturers which will have the highest impact on tactility.

It's a USB device; I mistakenly thought that the Synaptics device listed on `lsusb` was the touchpad; it was actually the fingerprint reader.
