Good news! The 4th batch is in production now. Assembled PCBs are expected to be ready by September. how much it will cost with shipping to europe, will it work with 2k mod? will it upgrade the lap to have another msata and usb 3.0 or something like that? Prices remain the same. 2K is not supported...

What would be the best IPS screen for x230 with least ghosting/hotspot problem and how should I carefully recognize it when looking on online listings please? Neither of tested displays has this problem. Avoid AUO displays as there's a chance your display won't work with the kit. https://item.taoba...

That's definitely a display failure. Sometimes displays get damaged during the shipping, sometimes the damage occurs when people handle them too rough.

I bought 3 screens from that seller and they turned out to be good. However, you always have to ask the seller for the exact model that you need.

Just make sure you buy the exact model, not some 'compatible' one. NV125FHM-N62 looks just as good as LP125WF2-SPB4 and it's cheaper. I added a link to verified eBay listing.

Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p
No. That means your computer was using Dummy display rather than the real FHD display. So, the sense wire wasn't connected that time.Humpauttaja wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 1:47 pmAt one point during my install I had backlight but no picture, even during post. Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p
Make sure you run dual display mode ('Dummy display' + FHD display). Because your alcohol contains a small amount of water, pouring it onto the adapter board injects voltage to the sense wire, triggering the backlight. This can happen only when backlight enable signal is not present, which means tha...

Shipped 28 orders today.
And I have some good news. As you see, the order system we currently have just sucks. I'm setting up a web store which will track available stock and allow you to make a purchase right away. Once done, I'll post the link here.

The last thing I thought would be a problem is to get payments from people who placed pre-orders. I have about 70 kits ready for shipping and people just ignore their invoices. Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p
Does this mean that 3.3V for the panel logic power comes directly from the laptop's 3.3V rail w/o any switches? By default, yes. 3.3V for panel logic is connected to VCC3M via a 3A fuse. There's a pair of empty pads just above the fuse on the adapter board, marked 'J1'. When you have the right firm...

Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p
@L29Ah: The panel is powered exactly same way as the stock one. The only difference is that VCC3P, which is used to power stock panel logic, is not used by default (although the adapter board is designed in such a way that it can power the FHD display logic from VCC3P). I'll post more info regarding...

In Linux I have some screen flickering (about 60 to 75 Hz) with kernel-fhd patch applied. And no flickering when using an patch-free standard Linux kernel. The only change is a kernel with an applied fhd patch (otherwise same kernel, same kernel config, same system). This is unfortunate because I g...
