I also faced the same issue using my T42. But this morning, the issue just disappeared. What i did: 1) I plugged in a SanDisk Thumb and it detected it as a USB2.0 device. 2) Then i plugged in my hdd that always been recongised as a USB 1.1 device. 3) Then the 2 usb ports just started to recongised ...

go to hardware manager and uninstall ur network adapter. Then reboot ur laptop.

I got the same case as you. Both my wireless connection and ethernet connection disappeared.

IMHO, i do not like it. My finger cannot "rest" on the buttons. The performance is fine for a optical mouse.

I got it becos it make my T42 feel complete. :D

Here is another thing you can do.

Just capture the setting. Open the presentation director and point it to the default setting and click capture. It will save your desktop back.ground.

It work for me.

There is a setting in the mouse driver. Something that said hide mouse when typing... uncheck that..

i put 2 soft stubs beside my touchpad and 1 at the each side of the screen.
That way, my screen will not touch my keyboard.

There is one setting in the Bios.

Just enable screen expansion or something. I cannot remember what is the exact name. However, i do remember there is a setting in the Bios that you must check.
