I had a very similar problem with my T43 putting it into standby or hibernate from a logged in session ... it would power down, but on next "wake" it would "remember" that it was supposed to be hibernating/suspending.

I think it had to do with my using Omega drivers.

Thanks, I actually found Battery Maximizer 1.38, a later version of what you've got. I've tried that route before (using the T40/41/42 Battery Maximizer software) and it was stable, but lost a couple of features the T43 software supports.

Why not restore it to the factory-shipped image....? You'll be overwriting the disk (some of it), and you can use third party programs to zero out the blank areas.

Dock II's are inexpensive? (Checks eBay, sees all the low double-digit "Buy it now" prices.) I bought mine in 2005 at $199 or so (EPP pricing).

If indeed you have a Dock II, then a power problem would likely be exhibited by the internal (dock) fan not running. Just a guess...
