Trim Support in eComStation?

#1 Post by olex126 » Fri Aug 05, 2016 8:50 am

Hi Gang.

Playing with my old OS/2 disks (Warp 3 Connect and Merlin) on various T42's and a SATA-modded T43p.

Does anyone know if eComStation supports the "Trim" command? I'd like to use an SSD instead of a hard drive.

Thanks for any and all info. Regards.

Dave

ArcaNoae may support TRIM (https://www.arcanoae.com/blue-lion/) when it's done.

OS/2 definitely does not (it can't even renew an IP address without restarting the OS), and I don't think ecomstation ever implemented the support. Many people still run it on SSDs regardless; much like pre-oracle versions of solaris.

Thanks micrex22, I'm going to give eComStation a try this weekend on a SATA-modded T43p and a T60, both with SSD's.
