Blue Lion - OS/2 - eCS replacement?

#1 Post by BigWarpGuy » Wed Nov 16, 2016 10:51 pm

Arca Noae is developing Blue Lion. It is a 'clone' of OS/2 Warp - eComStation. I think it is worth checking out.

There is another called OSFree.

It is an open source clone of OS/2 Warp. It is still in early development.

OSfree is pretty much a dead end until more developer support and interest happens.

BlueLion is definitely going to be pretty nice to have when it's released. Especially with how HORRIBLE Windows 10 is.

I am looking forward to Blue Lion. It would be neat to use it on the laptop that I have the eComStation 2.2 beta. It works but there are features that are not available. It could be that it is an older computer.

Windows 10 does look good compared to Windows 8/8.1 which I have on a laptop computer. It is like comparing a slow horse to a dead one.

Install ArcaOS from a flash drive

#4 Post by BigWarpGuy » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:35 am

One can now install ArcaOS from a flash drive. With so few laptops having an optical drive, I think this is a good thing.
