T21 and eCS 1.1 at 44% cpu usage?

It shows 44+% usage when running eCS 1.1 on my T21. What could be causiing to use up almost half of the cpu power when the only thing running is eCS? I do not have this problem with eCS 1.1 on my desktop. How can one determine what is using up the cpu power?
