I'm going to be installing eCS 1.2 on my Thinkpad 600e. Does anyone know of any wireless cards that work with eCS?

I guess I can answer my own question. Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears that basically there are 2 supported WIFI PC Cards. They are the IBM High Rate and the ARtem Onair Comcard. Both these cards are pretty rare. I found the High Rate in a few places, but at $79.00 and up, well, that's a little steep for an 802.11b today. I couldn't find the ARtem card anywhere. www.os2warp.be doesn't seem to allow downloads to the few additional drivers available. This website http://en.ecomstation.ru/hardware.php is a good one. I was able to find that the D-Link MA401 is ECS compatible using the IBM High Rate Driver. So, I bought one and sure enough I'm writing this message on my 600E running eCS 1.2 and a D-Link MA401 WIFI card.

I still can't get eCS to recognize anything plugged into the USB port. I've tried a Microsoft wireless mouse, Memorex 4gb flash drive and a generic 512mb flash drive.

I bought Artem ComCard in Germany, ca two years ago.
I did a search and have a look:

http://cgi.ebay.at/ARTEM-Onair-COMCARD- ... 0136460172

Tomorrow this auction ends ... Seller writes that he sells only within Germany but there is no bid there. I think he will be happy
to pass it anywhere. Do write him.

Drivers can be downloaded from server, if you do not find them pm me and I will send them to you.

At the 2006 Warpstock ( http://www.warpstock.org ), there was mention of a wifi device that connected to the network port and powered by a usb cable. The ones they showed worked with OS/2-eCS. You should check with the forum at the above site. Some worked better than others. It would be an alternative to a pc card. If your computer does not have a network port, one could use a pc card that has a network connector and/or usb port.

http://wwwos2warp.be has not bee updated recently. You could also try the forum at http://www.os2world.com which is very active. I think there might a OS/2 hardware section of http://en.ecomstation.ru .
