WTB: Hard Drive Bracket for T400

Need one if you have an extra or know of where to source one for a T400, or if you know if the bracket from another model will fit the T400. I have various brackets but none are a fit to the T400.

You can buy it from ebay for around 7 USD, they are the same one as the R6x, T6x, T400, T500, R400, R500, W500, X6x, X200/s, X201/s.

OK I found one on ebay. Note that I do not think however that the T400 is the same one as on the X201, I have an X201 and it is a different bracket.

i am pretty sure they are the same if you are using the 2.5 inch 9.5 mm platter drive.

The caddy it self is the same, yje bracket is definitely different, the screw is offset.

screw is offset? not really sure what you mean. Can you post a picture of this?

The two screw holes in the two brackets are not in the same spot on the bracket, on at the end of the bracket, the other is not at the end. No need for pictures, I found a T400 bracket on ebay.

I apologize for my confusion. I have been following the thread attempting to learn what it is you are looking for. I have seen caddy mentioned so you were not looking for one of those.

Could it be that what you are looking for is more commonly known as the hard drive cover?

Yes, I guess cover is the better term. The caddy (metal part) looks to be the same. the cover is slightly different.

finally the mystery is solved.

T400 hdd cover is unique.
