Based on 6458-5KU: T9300(2.5GHz), 3GB RAM, 100GB 7200rpm HD, 15.4in 1680x1050 LCD, 256MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled), Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion, WinXp Pro.

*overall condition is great but hinges are loose. IBM will replace the computer with a new recert unit, but will not replace hinges. The hinges have play, but there is no problem supporting the lid or staying open.

Rare 08/08 date code!!!

This includes the basic 3 month warranty, and an additional 12month free replacement warranty.

Unit contains COA for Vista and XP (xp pro installed).

I'm offering this for $380. Considering the Rare date code and IBM warranty, it's a great deal.

Just a heads up regarding this. If this doesn't sell in the next couple days, I'm going to return it. It makes little difference to me if it gets sold or returned. Finding a T61p with a good manufacture date (no defective nvidia chip) is rare, and to get one with 15month warranty at this price is a steal, I just don't need it.

To anyone unaware of the nVidia issue, all T61p build prior to mid July 2008 have a less reliable graphics processor that could result in needing a very expensive motherboard replacement. Units with build date of 08/08 and newer are worth at least 2-3 times what others are worth, so this is a rare find.

i wantto buy it but i dont have money now (im a student etc.) but i want your help about this. : im planning to buy an t61p in 1-2 months how can i determine is graphic chip faulty or not? and youre talking about returning it: returning where? wheere did u bought it??

You need to find one with a date code of 08/08 or newer. They are extremely rare, so good luck.

This unit's going back to IBM unless it's sold in the next day.
