update: Amazon cancelled the rebate, but it's now offered at NewEgg, see replies
Just a "heads up" if anyone is interested. Amazon.com is having a 3day sale on Intel 320 series SSD drives for under $1/GB after rebate.
Limit of 2 drives per person (just bought two 160 drives myself @ $155 after rebate).
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-2-5-Inch-So ... 15&sr=1-15
Must order by 11-28-2011
80GB=$69.99
120GB=$119.99
160GB=$155.00
Wouldn't mind a few more actually

WoW, a three day sale that only lasts for about 24 hours... thanks amazon lol
However, I did get someone to order two more for me, but I hope some of you were able to grab some of these.

They were great prices indeed, shame they pulled the plug...
And a bit down on that Amazon page I find this:
OCZ 2.5" SSD Blowout Sale - 60GB $69.99 96GB $99 120GB $129.99 240GB $279.99
All Inventory Must Go
www.mydigitaldiscount.com
Looks like 'our' sponsor is getting rid of OCZ... (don't blame them).

Newegg has two versions of the 120gb for $119 AR.
Even better, these are the retail kits with a 5 year warranty and not the Brown Box/OEM with a one year warranty that Amazon was selling.

Rebate expires 11/28
Also has rebates on the 80gb & 160gb.

Thank you for this! I was really disappointed to miss Amazon's deal, but it looks like Newegg is having almost the exact same deal.
80gb is $79.99 after rebate with a $10 Newegg gift card, going to pick one up right now.

I'll edit the title to reflect the deal is still available at new egg.
Also, I've read no where that the warrany of 5 years is only valid on the retail boxed drive. As far as I know, they all have 5y warranty.

When buying the 120GB (or any other) version, make sure to go for the SSDSA2CW120G3K5.
The B5 seem to have an ominous infancy-death rate (reading the Newegg Reviews).

Here is the Newegg product page for the same drive (SSDSA2CW120G310) Amazon was selling on Friday.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820167052 (for warranty info go to the Details page on the right)
and the Retail boxed drive:

That's the source for my warranty statement. YMMV

I just double checked with amazon since I bought two for myself, and my daughter got two. I also looked on the Intel website and it lists all the 320 series as 5year warranty. I suspect the info about 1year is generic data within new egg that exists for any product entered and unless it's changed when the product is added, it may not be correct.
I was also assured by the amazon live chat that amazon would warranty anything if the manufacture didn't. This is something I've come to rely on with amazon and I prefer them over newegg for this. I've never had them refuse to help for anything they sell, you just have to be careful on the wording of the items. If amazon sells it, or it is from a 3rd party and says "fulfilled by amazon", then they will usually stand behind it no matter what. If it's sold by an amazon seller, then after 90days they refer you to manufacturer, but even then if you have a legitimate gripe, they will often replace the item at their own expense.
I'm satisfied the units actually have a 5year warranty, but if I ever find different, I have the chat log saved just to be safe.
Besides, for an end user to have an OEM drive with limited warranty, it would have to have a different warranty that was included with the product it was used in. If you were to do a warranty claim on a drive and had a receipt from amazon or new egg, or whatever, it proves it wasn't an oem purchase, it was retail, so Intel would have to give you the retail warranty. I still would suggest getting the one at newegg (retail), since it's about the same price, but I'm convinced it's a non-issue.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention though, it's good to know and be sure.

If only I wasn't so thoroughly satisfied with my Intel 80GB G2 and hadn't just purchased an X220t...

Definitely a good deal, another $10 cheaper then amazon or newegg, but they only allow one purchase at that price, the rebate allows two. It may be a moot point though because they don't advertise a free shipping option like the others.
I'll also add this little quote from an article on tomshardware.com about harddrive reliability.
Intel SSD's are night and day in failure rates when it comes to some other drives. For example the SuperTalent SSD drives have had an extremely high failure rate including model FTM32GL25H, FTM32G225H, and FTM32GX25H. I estimate about two-thirds of these drives have failed since being put into service. With these failures however, the drives were not recoverable at all. They generally disappeared completely, no longer being readable. Spinners die much more gracefully with an easier disk recovery. I cannot compare this to the Intel's SSDs yet since I have not experienced any failures.
