The fan in my X61 Tablet started making noise, so time to get a new one. If you have this please let me know.

I'm in Europe but can buy from anywhere really. I can pay via PayPal or Moneybookers.

Thanks!

Kind regards

Have you tried using TP fan control and leaving it set to setting 1 in the manual option.

YMMV and IMO
The noise of the fan seems to be from acceleration and deceleration, where it gets a warbal wobble as the motor torques and untorques the fan. The bios setting seems to have lots of hunting.

The LP processors in the tablets run pretty cool, and in most cases if you are just browsing of document processing, you can go completely passive, zero fan. But if you leave it on 1, you barely if at all hear it depending on general room noise, and that rattle ticking never comes on.

Even at higher power seems to be just the noise of the fan, without any clinking.

1-2 is at 2700 rpm
3-5 3600
6-7 4300
enter in 64, and it spin up to about 4700.
