WTB DESPERATELY NEED LCD RIBBON CABLE FOR THINKPAD 701C *PIC

As the title suggests i need a serviceable ribbon cable for my trusty 701c. I have spent a small fortune getting this thing working and looking like new. Now i have a vertical hold problem which seems to be caused by a crack along the cable.

Hope somebody can help. I am in the UK

there are at least two different cables for the 701C..
and maybe three or four..
depending on where in the top cover the display is located..
looking at the screen, is it in the top left or bottom right of the top..?
i'm sure i have one but it is used..

FWIW i have about 12 to 14 701C's, some NOS system boards and a bunch of new keyboards..
should any of that fill a need you have..

I have a collection of bad 701C screens but the ribbon cables should be good. Bill is (as always) correct. There is more than one ribbon cable and more than one display panel used in the 701C. I have 2 different kinds and also a ribbon cable from a 701Cs. If you could post a picture I could see if I have the one you need and happy to send it for the cost of shipping.

The screen is a SHARP LQ10D031 P/N 10H4155.
As i am looking at the BACK of the screen, the connecter goes on the right (TOP HALF) just above the middle of the screen.

I have a photo, but somebody would have to tell me how to post it on the forum. The IMG button makes no sense to me because it asks for a url...

You'd have to upload the image on a site such as imageshack.us or photobucket.com, then copy and paste the URL to the image.

finally, i have found the FRU for the ribbon cable for all those people who just happen to have a spare to help me with my project 701c.

The FRU is 04H8329..
