For Sale: my ThinkPad T520 4239-CTO, which has:
Intel i5-2410m processor
6GB RAM
Intel HD3000 Graphics
320GB 7200RPM Western Digital Scorpio Black hard drive
15.6" FHD 1920x1080 LED-backlit display
Intel 6205 Advanced-N WiFi
6-Cell battery (green/good status, 98% of designed capacity)
Bluetooth
Webcam
Factory restore partition is intact.
Also included is Microsoft Office 2010 Professional (license key+disc), and the neoprene sleeve from Lenovo designed to fit the T520. At the risk of sounding like a used car salesman, I need this gone ASAP, so I'm throwing in a good $200+ of software to sweeten the deal.
The computer has a 1-year depot warranty, which expires on 2 Aug 2012; it is eligible for a warranty upgrade if desired.
The machine is in pristine, A+ condition. I can't find a single scratch/imperfection/crack anywhere on it; it literally looks as
good as it did the day it came out of the original box. This is not an exaggeration. The computer has left my desk perhaps 5 times,
and has only ever been operated by me in an adult-only, smoke/pet-free environment. I am the original owner, and can vouch for every minute
of this machine's life since it arrived direct from Lenovo.
When I tell you this machine is in practically perfect condition, I mean it. I am a neat-freak/perfectionist about my devices;
for example, a nearly 5-year-old T60 2623-D6U I sold here previously was described in buyer feedback as "almost new" by one of our mods. (see link for reference. Obviously he's not endorsing this sale, but this illustrates that I don't over-promise
)
The reason I'm selling is simple: I'm going to be doing an extensive amount of work on a network on which Windows-based machines are all but not allowed, and OSX is the only easily-supported platform.
As such I'm temporarily "switching" to a Mac. Gulp.
Price: $750 shipped to the CONUS. No international sales/shipping, please. Machine will ship in original packaging.
This is not a cheap machine, but it is a solid deal for a machine for which an equivalent T520 new from Lenovo would cost $1200+ before shipping/tax.
Considering that my asking price is about the same entry point pre-tax/shipping as a base T520 without the glorious FHD display,
I think it's quite reasonable, but I will entertain reasonable offers. No trades, please. Pictures provided on request.
