WTB: T42p motherboard 15"
WTB: T42p motherboard 15"
I need the board itself or mounted on its base. Maybe two of them. I would also consider a T42p with a broken screen.

FYI, motherboards are the same between 14" and 15" models. You can also use a board from T41p or R50p since they're identical as well.
Happy hunting.

Thanks, but would they come with 128 ATI graphics? I am new to this stuff.ajkula66 wrote:FYI, motherboards are the same between 14" and 15" models. You can also use a board from T41p or R50p since they're identical as well.

@ ronal:
Beware that some T42's (and T42p's) had support for fingerprint-reader while other didn't. I therefore suggest that you specify whether this is a requirement, or not? Also, consider if you really need a T42p motherboard (with the FireGl T2 GPU and w/128 MB VRAM), or if you could be perfectly satisfied
with a coolor, yet slightly lower-performance T42 mobo (with the ATI Radeon 9600 GPU w/64 MB VRAM)?
What's the applications you need to run with these T42/p's?

I looked and will redefine what I want after studying this a little more. Thanks.RealBlackStuff wrote:Look at the list of available T4x/R5x mobos on my website: http://theboardroom.info/ibm_list.htm

Re: WTB: T42p motherboard 15"
Thanks. I would be satisfied with a slightly lower-performance mobo for my T42p, but of course I am shooting for the best. My machine does have a little fingerprint window but I do not care that much about that feature.Johan wrote:@ ronal:
