Well, believe me Radioguy, I know this is not a cheap laptop at all, as we paid the full price for it [+plus those horrible taxes that add another 300-350$ easily!]. But I am willing to be a bit flexible with the price and I promise you'll get a 200% brand new computer just as you would get it from lenovo+3 years warranty. I am a guy that takes care of his own electronics, and I know that most offers on the web are for pretty used laptops with wear & tear which is not fun. So that's not the case here..

And by the way, I'm willing to trade this for a Canon 5D MKII body, as this is anyways the plan for what to do with the money from this deal.

I was interested but just priced it through Mastercard MarketPlace and used the 12% coupon and it priced out at 1654. I have no tax in my state. Sorry

Thank you for the heads up, house kitten. I will be more than happy if you could share a link to what you say in that Mastercard Marketplace. I have never heard of this website but will be glad to know if my pricing is off- then I will do something about it.

Update: Actually I went ahead and registered to this Mastercard Marketplace thing , But anyways, It connected me to the lenovo website to make a purchase. I put all of the specs and my total was 1868$ without tax. I saw the number that you were talking about-but if you would actually add everything to cart and make the checkout then this is what you'll see:

1650$ is your, kind of fake-total savings. As they price the laptop at around 3500$ as an original price. Therefore that price you wrote isnt really correct.
I will be willing to go down to 1750$ then, to be fair. And Believe me, they will take taxes off from you! I tried to talk to Lenovo when ordering and asked them what if I will order it to New Jersey, and they told me I will still pay taxes [same as in NY]. So this will save you the extra 300$ for tax+120$ that I took off to be fair, and I will guarantee that this unit is as good as it came from Lenovo. No monkey business!

I am truly sorry about this, I didnt know that its not customary to reply and evolve the conversation on threads like these. So, please, if youre a serious buyer -pm me for any question.
