What is the type number on the bottom of the ThinkPad?

A model CTO is useless.
The Product ID under it is more informative (like 891861U).

But even more important: what is the production date?
Following the Serial Number, it is in format YY/MM, such as 07/09.

I haven't been burned here, but in any forum I suppose that's not outside of the realm of possibility.

Nothing personal, and it's not about you.

It's about the nvidia chip...and that's why everyone who has any type of interest will ask for the date code, not for the serial...

Call me a dunce, but the only other important looking number on the underside of the machine is the serial number.
