I'm currently using this Thinkpad as a lifeboat until my work laptop gets back from RMA.
This was my personal laptop back in early 07, but I gave it to my dad in 08. He used it until just a month ago, when he bought a new one.
Specs:
T60 Widescreen 8742-4BU.
T7200 2.0ghz Core 2 Duo
2x 512MB DDR2 RAM
no hard drive (dad kept the 320GB WD Black that was in it, I've got an 80GB 5400RPM in right now that I pulled from my external. I'm not planning on including it, as it's really freaking slow)
DVD DL
128MB Mobility Radeon X1400
15.4" WSXGA+ screen, LG panel, and looks better than the laptop this replaced.
3945ABG WiFi
Bluetooth
9 cell battery. I can't remember if this is the original or not, but there's over 500 cycles on it, but is at only 30% wear. I can still get 2.5 hours of battery life out of it. I had it set to only start charging when the battery dropped below 85%. Condition is green.
AC adapter is aftermarket, and unfortunately, not Lenovo branded. But, it works.
Fingerprint reader
Has COAs for Vista and XP, but I no longer have original media for it.
Condition issues:
1. A couple cracks in the plastic.
i. Above the DVDDL. No effect from it, just noticed it when I was disassembling the T60 to reapply thermal compound and clean out the fan
ii. Palmrest, just below the left/right touchpad buttons.
2. Fan is very noisy. When I got it back from my dad, the CPU would run as high as 90C. I took off the heatsink and cleaned it, applied new thermal compound, and dropped the temperature by 40C. Unfortunately, the fan still rattles and can make a throbbing noise that drives me crazy.
3. The screen can develop a lighter section either 1/3 the way from the bottom, or 2/3 the way from the bottom. The top part is always darker when this line happens, seemingly at prefect 1/3s of the screen. This line typically goes away if you flex the screen, and while noticeable, doesn't prevent anything from being seen like bad pixels would.

With the condition issues, I don't really know what to charge for it. 1 can be taken care of with superglue, 2 a $20-ish fan off eBay, and 3...well, therein lies the rub. That's expensive to replace, but the screen doesn't show the problem all the time, goes away with some tweaking, and looks great when it's not there. Drop a hard drive in it and it's ready to go.
So, feel free to make me offers for it, but for now, I'm posting it up as being "for trade". I could use a solid state drive (bonus for Samsung 470 or 830), but if you have anything else interesting, please PM me and let me know.

Re: Thinkpad T60 Wide Screen (some issues of note, but it works)
I have a screen if you (or the buyer) is interested. I also believe I have the palmrest and keyboard bezel, assuming T61 parts are the same. I think the palmrest has a small cutout for the card reader thats blocked off on the t60, other then that it should work.
I also have a T61p fan, which has 3 heatpipes, and does a much better cooling job when retrofitted into a t60/t60p
I'd offer you a trade, but I don't have any ssd drives, but if you see anything you need in one of my posts we can talk.
Good luck with your sale.
