[FOUND] T60(p) FlexView IPS or 4:3 T61(p) + Ultrabay Serial

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for one of these two Thinkpads:

- T60 or T60p with a FlexView IPS display. SXGA or UXGA, are ok. No 14 inchers and no XGA please.
- T61 or T61p with a 4:3 14.1" display. XGA and SXGA+ are ok.

Basically I'm looking for one of the two halves that would allow me to build a frankenpad in the near future.

Has to have: ANSI keyboard layout, near mint screen, keyboard, and chassis, fab date after 08/08 for nvidia based Thinkpads.
Nice to have: Core 2 Duo (Merom) CPU, a battery that can last at least 30 minutes.

I am also looking for the Ultrabay Slim Serial/Parallel Port Adapter that fits these models.

I would prefer to pick them up locally in Washington, DC or Manhattan, but would also accept having it shipped.

WSXGA+ is in a widescreen machine.
Its chassis will not accommodate a 4:3 T61 motherboard!

I don't believe these exist for a 14.1" T61/T60p in 4:3, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Also, the edit of your title is incomplete, unless you want someone offering you a 14.1" widescreen T61, which is a completely different system, nothing like any T60x series. I'd change the "14.1" to "4:3".

ps. I'm on a quest to build a frankenpad like this with a new nVidia chip. I'm expecting to spend a huge chunk of change on the board alone. The rechipping process is expensive, and refurb boards from Lenovo cost $575 and you need a serial number of one of these systems to order it... and that's if they are willing to sell them. There are still some of these with extended warranties so they won't sell them if stock is low.

Thank you, I've corrected the title. It's definitely not easy keeping track of all the combinations!

I didn't know there were no 4:3 T61 nvidia's, but the Intel chip is just as fine for me (or radeon if I get a T60). I wont be running anything graphic other than an X session.

There are 14.1 4:3 nVidia NVS140M equipped T61's! I have one in hand at the moment and it's Type no 8892-79G.
Though as TuuS suggested, there are no 08/08 date 4:3 nVidia T61's.
