FOUND! WTB: exc. cond. 15" SXGA+ FlexView panel +inverter
EDIT: Everything is on its way. Thanks to all who offered!
Hi all,
I have the T61 guts coming from TuuS to make a nice Frankenpad, but unfortunately the T60 receiver I found on local CL turned out to have an XGA screen rather than the SXGA+ I wanted. In any case, the machine was in great shape and I got it for a song, so now I need the last piece of the puzzle for the build!
Doesn't have to be brand new, but given the effort that's going into the build, I'd like it to be something very nice...
Not interested in UXGA, absolutely has to be SXGA+ (1400x1050)-- I'm doing the build for my boss, and the man knows what he wants...
Getting a whole lid would be a nice bonus as of course it makes for less work, but really only need the LCD panel and inverter board.
Shipping would be to Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Kindly shoot me a PM if you have one available!
Bests,
--Jeff
P.S. I don't have any feedback here, but please check me out on eBay, Canuck Audio Mart, Audiogon, and Head-Fi.

Contact forum member Brad for the inverter. I got one from him recently and it worked out great for my new UXGA panel.

Easily fixed, Jeff is highly recommended!JeffCullen wrote:

I have a T51 15" 1400 x 1050 IPS complete lid, with hinges, I would say the screen is a B, its not perfect, has a couple of very light pencil erasure size bruises, very faint. Some artifacts in the bottom corners, but still a wonderful IPS. I don't know about the compatibility and the inverter stuff, other than its included in the R51 complete lid. (lid might actually say R50)
38 dollars, and actual shipping costs.

Thanks for the offer. I'm still waiting to hear from TuuS on what should be an A-grade panel, but if that falls through, at that price, I'll take yours just to use until a nicer panel is found, assuming the R50 panel will work in the T60/T61 FrankNpad...?

You'd most likely have to flash the EDID in order to use it in a T6x unit...

Re: WTB: exc. cond. 15" SXGA+ FlexView panel +inverter
I am really not sure on this specifically, as well as the inverter, and the cable and connector compatibility. I am sure this is already been a path others have gone down, I just have not done the searches.JeffCullen wrote: assuming the R50 panel will work in the T60/T61 FrankNpad...?
I thought when I looked at the panel in Everest system tools, that it was the same part number as the T60, but I am off memory here, as the panel was attached to a R51 which had the GPU ball problem, so I have no computer to see it, I could take it apart I guess, but its a nice unit now. For all I know it can be bolted onto a T60 as is.
I was happy with the screen when I used it....just check out the details of how it will be compatible with what your usage would be.
