SOLD: T60p 2623-DDU for parts or project

For sale is a 15" T60p with UXGA in working condition, but this laptop is definitely is a fixer-upper. The motherboard was tested with PC-Doctor and it works fine. The UXGA screen is bright and clear (but, see additional details below). The unit comes with a battery (in poor condition, but serviceable), keyboard, 2x512MB memory modules for 1GB total, and DVD CD R/W. It does not come with a HDD, HDD cover/caddy/rails, WWAN card, or power adapter. The Windows COA was removed by a previous owner and is missing.
Although everything works, this laptop definitely has issues:
1) The structure frame is broken in the left rear corner, at the fan exhaust port.
2) The bottom case was cracked at the attachment point of the left lid hinge. This crack has been repaired.
3) The keyboard bezel has a minor crack that can be easily repaired with super glue.
4) The palmrest is cracked badly and should be replaced. Moreover, the palmrest is the wrong model for the laptop as it does not have a fingerprint reader (which the motherbord supports).
5) The keyboard is well worn. It seems to work OK, but I have not tested it extensively.
6) The UXGA screen has two long and deep scratches. These can possibly be rubbed out with polishing compound. The screen is usable as it is, provided that you can put up with the scratches. There are no indications of other damage to the screen.
Price is $50 shipped (US only).
The unit is sold as-is.
