LF: a fun Thinkpad project

I'm currently looking for another fun Thinkpad project. If you have a newer machine that's been sitting around with some sort of defect and you don't have time or knowledge to fix it - I'd be interested in it. As an example, not long ago I bought a T400 with a bad motherboard and in pieces from this site's very own BobA and put it back together into a working machine - which was fun! Luckily he provided almost all of the parts but I don't mind chasing some either! Basically not job too big either! Screen replacement, motherboard surgery, are all welcome. Giant puzzles are fun.
.
What I'm looking for:
1. something relatively modern - I would say at least from triple digit model era (ie. T400, X201, etc as opposed to T43 or X22). I would prefer to entirely avoid anything that's doesn't use SATA disks. Don't get me wrong - I love the old IBM machines but spending hours to revive something that's a decade old doesn't make sense unless it's something exclusive/exotic. On the other hand if you have a nice S30/31 that needs an easy fix, I'm game!
2. would be nice if it was fairly complete. This is not absolute but if it's missing too many pieces it might be better off as a parts machine at the end
3. don't really care for stuff like power supplies, hard disks, RAM, software but batteries/optical would be nice to have
4. priced accordingly. I don't expect gifts of course but it should be reasonable considering condition, parts needed and labor involved
I am flexible on some of this depending on what you got. Just try me! Please be as detailed as possible though. Pics might help also.
My own inventory of parts is running dry but if you need something specific in trade or as part of a deal feel free to ask. You never know!
