Hey!
1st of all, I'm new to the forum, and I hope someone can help me!

2nd I'm from Belgium, and my English isn't that great, so please, I'm already sorry for any grammar mistakes
I've ordered a Thinkpad X300 last week from ebay. It's on its way from Miami right now! (sooo excited!)
The problem is that it's a US QWERTY, and as a student Office Management, I have to type alot, which will be confusing with something else then AZERTY.
I've looked "all the way over ebay", and couldn't find a AZERTY belgian keyboard.
Someone has it? Please let me know!
Regards,
Peter

Dutch keyboards are QWERTY.
What you probably want is a
French keyboard.
But if you load the French localization, to match a French Windows, you could swap just the QW and AZ and maybe some other caps of the keyboard around to what you are used to.
(You'd still miss all the accents though)
Here's a Dutch one if you insist:

I actually meant Belgian AZERTY

(French azerty is still a little different, but would also be o.k. for me, it's just some different orientation of symbols)
US QWERTY vs Dutch (holland) QWERTY isn't that much of a change..
This is the layout I'm actually looking for:

I'm afraid, that if I would change some keys, I would break something. I can disassemble a whole laptop/pc without any trouble, but keyboards, just don't like me I guess :p

Hmm, yes indeed, the Belgian keyboard wasn't that succesfull it seems. Almost no results on google..
I'm waiting on a response from the French guy. Hopefully he sells it at a reasonable price!
But until I know the answer, still looking for one! (probably never gonna find the real Belgian Azerty)

Of course I can.
From your signature you note that ThinkPad has changed your life.
How has ThinkPad changed your life?

Alrighty!
Well, I don't really know, but since I had my T60, I started reasearching alot about the IBM/Lenovo brand. It's because of my T60 I now know alot from lappy's. Normally I only fixed desktopcumputers for friends/family (assembled and troubleshooting, just love doing that). Since Thinkpads are sooo easy to disassemble, I learned a lot from it. I started a few months ago fixing other laptops too (Acer, Samsung,...). That's how it changed my life

I'm thinking of buying a thinkpad from every serie (T3x, T4x, R5x, T6x, and so on) just for "nostalgia(?)" and learning about it

(I'm only a student, so gotta pay attention on my spendings a bit

)

Is it as easy as removing one keyboard and installing another? no BIOS updates for another keyboard, etc. right?

Except you need to go to: Control Panel/Region and Language and change the language settings there as well.
