SOLD!Panasonic CF-W7 12"XGA/C2D/DVDRW/BT@ just 3lbs..PICS

I know this is ThinkPad forum...but this fairly rare and unusual little laptop might find its new home here...

Panasonic ToughBook CF-W7

Core 2 Duo ULV U7500@1.06 Ghz

2GB RAM

60GB/5400rpm SATA HDD

12" XGA (1024x768) LCD

Intel X3100 integrated graphics

DVD RW

Intel 4965 AG wireless

Bluetooth, Modem, LAN

WWAN upgradeable

3 USB 2.0 ports

SD card reader

Security Chip (TPM)

Touchpad

U.S. Keyboard

Win Vista Business loaded and activated with COA

Original Panasonic AC adapter

3.1 lbs with battery inserted

The bad:

- It's NOT a ThinkPad - and you might have an issue with its keyboard layout. Then again, the new ThinkPads don't have a proper 7-row layout anymore...

- One light pressure mark on an otherwise extremely bright and clean LCD

- Light wear/scratches on the top/bottom

The good:

- It's NOT a ThinkPad. If you're looking for a travel-size business machine that can withstand some serious abuse, this one might just fit the bill. Likely the lightest 12" unit with an integral media drive - at least AFAIK.

- Being a "business-class" ToughBook, it's light and easy to upgrade, with no proprietary RAM or difficult hard drive swap involved.

- It's a U.S. model, so all the drivers and utilities are available from Panasonic's U.S. site, along with plenty of support information, starting here:

All in all, if you like the 4:3 format and are comfortable with a XGA screen on a 12" unit, need a travel machine with exceptional battery life and an integrated media drive, you could fine this one to be very interesting...

Since someone has just asked me about the cooling system, let me answer the question in the thread:

This is the second (and final) revision of CF-W7 which DOES have the fan, unlike the earlier models which had utilized a passive cooling system only.

Cash, personal cheque, USPS/Canada Post money order, Western Union or MoneyBookers accepted as payment methods. No PreyPal.

NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:

As of May 16th, 2012 we are no longer allowed to ship batteries internationally, with or without the laptop. More on this USPS regulation can be found here:

Pricing adjustments shall be made accordingly, please contact me directly for details.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
