Thinkpad X40 For Sale - $50, also free 770ED, T21 for repair
Hi,
I just recently moved and have decided I don't have room for the following computers anymore.
ThinkPad X40. Type 2371-67U
Wiped clean with a new factory image. One of the hooks in the lid is broken, but it still closes securely. Otherwise, the computer is in really nice shape. I have a mini-pci wireless card on order that should pass the whitelist. I will be installing it as soon as it arrives. Asking $50+shipping.
ThinkPad 770ED. Type 9549-5AU
Will wipe the hard drive. This was my very first ThinkPad and I bought it new. It mainly just sits now, so I figure it can go to someone who will use it. The backlighting takes awhile to come up to brightness (might be on its way out) and the battery doesn't work in the main battery bay. It works in the Ultrabay, however. There is chipping paint on the bottom, and one chip on the palmrest that is currently covered up with some electrical tape. Keyboard has been replaced with one that looks almost new. I think I may have upgraded the RAM at some point too. Since I bought this new, I should have pretty much all the paperwork and CDs it came with; I just have to find them. I also should have the Windows 95 CD it came with, as well as the Windows 98 Upgrade CD. Also should have the floppy disk drive as well as the DVD drive. Free+shipping
ThinkPad T20. Type 2647-46U
This computer has an issue with the motherboard where if you pick it up, or push down on one corner, you can get the blue-screen of death. Supposedly you can fix this by removing the motherboard and heating it up in the oven to reflow the solder. All other parts of the computer are good. Free+shipping.
Also I have a Port laptop bag designed for the T-series that I can include with any computer for an additional $20.
All prices are best offer, and do not include shipping. I can post pictures later.

Re: Thinkpad x40, T20, 770ED for sale
Updated prices. Feel free to make an offer if you think they are too high.

Since no one seems to want these, it looks like I will be disposing of these.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am interested in ThinkPad 770ED. Type 9549-5AU and ThinkPad T20. Type 2647-46U. Hopefully I can fix them somehow to a workable state ;) I love to tinker with hardware, so it should be fun whether I succeed or not. How much would be for shipping to Europe? Could you also take a picture of the bag?
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

Wish I would have seen this last week when I had some cash. Hate to see these get disposed.

Well, I traded the X40 and the T20 into Best Buy today. For each of them, I got a $25 gift card and a $75 coupon towards a new computer.
The T20 was definitely in rough shape (battery lasted just a few min and the screen a dim-orange with flickering lines), but it was kind of a shame about the X40. I did grab a few parts (they wouldn't let me keep the HDDs) so I have the floppy and cd drives for the T20 and a wireless card that will work with the X40 available.
I have a few parties interested in the 770ED. I am just awaiting confirmation of their willingness to pay for the shipping.
