Don't take it personally, but I think the price is a little too high. New on the Disc/MC/Visa site is $2799, so a used machine with 26 months of warranty left will never bring $2700. You can try eBay, but I doubt you'll get anywhere close to what you are looking for. July and August are great months to sell notebooks on eBay, people heading back to school.
Right now they just aren't bringing much. If you can hold off till then, you'll get closer to what you are looking for.

Looks like it might go to eBay. Seems there's a good number of nicer laptops for sale on this forum. Maybe it's just that everyone already has one or is like me and can't afford one.

This is the top of the Line T42p, so I dont know what you mean by nicer laptops, unless you mean T43p's.

I'm interested, but don't want to insult you with a too-low offer. I'll start my bidding at $1900.

Brad

Why, out of all FS threads listed here, is only this one stickied?

I would take that as a sign of utmost RESPECT if I were a buyer interested in this class of machine! What better reference or vote of confidence could one want as a buyer? To me, it's always worth it to pay a bit more for an item when you can be assured that the seller and his/her item are as represented. If one can afford this level of performance then their time is surely a valuable commodity, so much so that they should appreciate the "savings" Bill just afforded them by placing his trust in this seller.

I have had to relist it.

Here is the relisted address

So I guess the reason you've increased the BIN price by $200 is to cover the monies lost to the Nigerians?

No, I just figured if someone on these boards made an offer, I would consider it and end the auction early. Otherwise someone could just buy it now for the 2800.00 I was originally looking for.

IF someone is truly interested in it, I will lower the buy it now price back to $2600.00.

Don,

I realize that this is your pride and joy Thinkpad, but your pricing is completely unrealistic IMHO.

There are several machines matching your's on eBay right now that are NIB with BIN pricing at $2199 or less.

There's Teresa's machine which also matches your offering and is only $1400 at the moment.
