Spouse cleaning out MY workroom found two batteries for laptops I no longer have. There's no way I have to check their condition; as far as I know they were working back when I had a T42p and an X60. I'm pretty sure the T42p one is original equipment with FRU 92P1011. I'm just as certain the X60 is not; it has a sticker saying "New 01-01-10 SuperMart." The label says Replace FRU 92P1171, XX73, XX01.
I'll mail them to whoever wants them for the cost of postage; the T42p fits in the small Flat Rate $5.35 box - the X60 is too big, so the medium flat Rate box may be too costly, but maybe regular parcel post may work. Let me know, off forum, if there's any interest.

Create a (free) U.S.P.S. online account: https://reg.usps.com/entreg/Registratio ... put.action and use a Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope for the x60 (large 8-cell) battery. Fits comfortably even with some extra bubble wrap to protect it, besides the protection of the padded envelope itself: https://store.usps.com/store/browse/usp ... iorityMail

These are flat rate, with no domestic weight limit, so I always use loads of bubble wrap or put cardboard to reinforce the package. Only rule is the package must close by itself using the adhesive flap. Fast and safe way to ship fragile electronic items. Plus, you get free delivery confirmation online

These padded envelopes are (usually) available at your local post office. Costs $5.30 to ship, and as I said, it's a flat rate anywhere in the U.S., even Alaska or Hawaii, with no domestic weight limit. But once you have a U.S.P.S. account, you can order a pack of these Priority Mail padded envelopes online (usually takes a week to arrive). And you can also print the label online for $5.10 (save $0.20 :) )

As you know domestic Priority Mail is Faster (2 to 3 days guaranteed) and in this case will probably work out cheaper than Parcel Post (which usually takes 4-7 business days, and cost about $6 with extra Delivery Confirmation cost for a 1 pound battery to many parts of the U.S.)

Free Priority Mail shipping supplies and online shipping discounts, one of the great benefits of using U.S.P.S.

And no, I don't work for U.S.P.S. but would like us to support the ole' gal. Let us prefer her services over U.P.S. or Fed Ex whenever possible. This way we will keep our local post offices from shutting down and the ole' girl from going bankrupt :(

Seller saves $ on shipping, buyer saves $ on shipping, everyone's happy :thumbs-UP:

Have a good day,
Daniel.

Not to derail the topic, but I agree. USPS has their share of delivery "issues" but they've never made my blood boil due to incompetence nearly as bad as UPS or FedEx have. Plus they truly are cheaper and faster.

Non-Lenovo/IBM X60 battery gone; T42p still here and it fits in the $5.35 flat rate box.
