I bought this excellent T400 from a forum member here and am looking to let it go to a new home.
Here is a brief list of the specs off the top of my head: model number 6473 PVU, P8700, 4GB ram, 60gb HD 7200, intel wireless N, bluetooth, fingerprint, 1440x900 LCD, cd/dvd optical drive, no operating system.
Will come with a 90w adapter, a 4 cell battery (red, WORKING), a 9 cell battery (red, DEFECTIVE).
Condition is excellent with very little wear and tear. The palmrest area looks new and I replaced the keyboard with a new one as well. The LCD is nice and bright with no dead pixels that I can see. The panel is excellent for an LCD. The colors do not wash out as bad as some other T400 models I've used. The resolution is perfect as well.
I'm asking for $220 shipped for all of the above. I'm in Canada at the moment, I will be shipping this from Detroit, MI to avoid the whole battery ban by USPS.
Paypal, Moneybookers, money order, cash in person, Moneygram, all accepted.

Assuming the battery will fit one of my T61s, I'll take the Panasonic battery. I have both 14" and 15" T61. Briefly checking around, the info I got is that it'll work.

This battery will fit the t61 14.1" widescreen, it will not fit the 14.1 standard nor the 15.4" wide.
Also a note to International buyers: Canadian Dude is in Canada and therefore isn't restricted from exporting batteries. He also lives on the usa boarder so can ship "from" either country.
ps. I'll also personally vouch for his honest and the quality of what he sells. He often enjoys using a laptop for a month or two and passes it on to another member, usually for less then he paid for it. He's one of the most generous among us and a credit to our community.

Thanks for this. As a NOOB I appreciate it very much. I agree with you, the T400 for that price is a steal! I've already bought 4 new Thinkpads over the past 2 weeks so I've banned myself from getting another one for at least a couple of weeks.
Will be contacting you in the near future for either a T8300 or T9300.

Interested for sure. Did you ever post the pictures? Does it have the Cardbus and Expresscard slot?

To all those interested please PM me your email address and I will email pictures. I can't seem to remember my image shack username/password. Emailing them would be a lot easier.
Also - it seems now that the used 9 cell battery no longer wants to charge. I do not know enough about batteries to know why. The 4 cell battery works just fine and charges. As a result I'm declaring the used 9 cell battery defective. I've updated the prices accordingly.
**A new 9 cell battery with the rare Panasonic cells can be purchased from member Tuus

Those panasonic batteries were a great find. They came from a corporate I.T. dept that (wisely) issued new T400 systems, but reissued the used batteries and AC adapters from the old laptops and kept the new ones in inventory to use as needed. When the T400 units got liquidated I ended up getting first pick of the batteries, brand new originals with panasonic cells (replacements usually have sanyo).
I sold quite a few of them to forum members here and I believe I may still have one left with 0 cycles.
