FS:T500 2242-35U with cracked screen and battery isuue

I bought this from a fellow Forum member who said it only needed a screen but unfortunately was not told about the battery issue.

The specs are:
T500 model 2242-35U:Thinkpad T500 -Model 2242-35U with battery issue-it runs at 2.26 Ghz with 1 GB Ram-15.4" 1280X800 LCD is cracked /not working-wireless -Bluetooth Fingerprint reader-Win VISTA Business COA-No cosmetic issues-CD/RW-DVD Rom.
Please note: NO Hard drive or A/c Adapter included- unit may need a battery or System board or both, some times you have to take the battery out and put back before it turns on but runs off A/C. $100 plus shipping and US only.

If i dont get an offer i will part it out so there is a consensus let me know.

The OP's claim that only a cracked screen was disclosed doesn't seem likely since there is no mention of any screen damage at all in this post, or in the January 2012 post where he first attempted to sell it...

Unless I'm missing something, this advertisement is highly inaccurate if not deceptive. The original sale stated the board was defective and included NO battery, so any battery it now includes must have been added by the seller, so alluding that it "may" be only a bad battery appears to be deceptive, obviously the board is bad.

I know not everyone has the best memory, but I can't think of any credible reason someone would simply forget that they broke a screen since this was listed as having a perfect screen in september 2011 and january 2012.

Unless the OP can provide credible answers to this and the questions previously asked, I think any member considering buying it should be highly skeptical.

I don't want that anymore then you do, but some serious doubts have been raised and no one can find any record of any similar T500 sold here except what has been posted. I'd be happy if this can be resolved and all these replies deleted, but ultimately the decision is upto Bill, it's his forum and I think he probably would like to know what's up with this system more then any of us.

I have tried to avoid going down this path but here goes:

1- I did not name whom i purchased the unit from because almost a year has passed.

2- How do "TUUS" and "REALBLACKSTUFF" know what i received?
I bought a screen from Ebay for this unit and i already had 2 used batteries that i tested with inconsistent results thus not being sure if it is my batteries or Board or both.

3-I have contact "REALBLACKSTUFF" concerning his accusations but alas he has threatened to expose me!!! really??.

4- In my listings i have not deliberately tried to deceive any member.I have sold here before and dont have even 1 negative posting.

So gentlemen, please, a used T500 for $100 with issues or not, just the individual parts ,Memory,WIFI card,FAN,Keyboard,plastics, etc, will equal or cost more,so why do i need to deceive anybody??

Anyone have any facts about this unit, please post them. I am interested, but not in speculation. Is the screen the original, or has it been replaced? Can you post or email pictures? What is the condition of the plastics, and the screen lid and bezel? Which wireless card does it have, and does the card work? How is condition of keyboard?
