Thank you, I am keenly interested in trying to build my own frankenpad, I have wanted to for years, and this looks like a good place to start, good people, good forum, good motherboard. Base don what I have read I do have a few questions if you dont mind:
- do you specifically recommend Intel graphics vs Nvidia? (that s a lot of pixels to drive and scale... at UXGA; heat is probably better...)
- is this a motherbaord that is Penryn ready? is that better than Memron? (sorry for spelling)
- can this handle 4GB vs 3GB and can it handle more than 4GB RAM? Does that require the mod BIos? which one please?
- your signature line seems ot point to a lot of specific enhancements, like fans, etc - can you share FRU numbers too?
- do you think i can do this with a steady hand, fear, respect and no soldering iron?
- i did put a uxga into my 15" 4:3 a few years ago, but it is a little loose and i bought it with the chip already programmed - certainly not be me!
I cant believe I am going to do this in the age of the iPad and smartphone,s but I feel totally compelled!!!

I have a line on this motherbaord and dont know the difference/suitability/ benefits - do you? FRU 42W7650

Any processor recommendations, sources?
