Middleton's modded BIOS enabling full SATA II transfer speeds along with other good stuff installed.
the shell came from a nice T60 (2623-D3U). Expect some normal wear, but there's really nothing bad for me to report.
the board came from a well-kept Intel-based T61 that failed to yield any serious interest as a complete machine on this forum...
the screen is previously unused, straight-out-of-the-box NOS LG Philips, FRU 13N7078. If you like SXGA+ FlexView panels, this is as nice as they come. Period.
This machine was originally custom-ordered by someone who subsequently had a change of heart, and went for a W701 instead...forfeiting their deposit in the process, so the savings are being passed on to you, my fellow ThinkPad buffs...
Overall, if you're looking for something to replace your aging 15" SXGA+ T60 with and don't feel like selling a kidney to get a Retina MBP or an IPS-eqipped EliteBook, this is as good as it gets, as long as your gaming requirements are low...
