I have a very nice non-widescreen 4:3 T61 for sale. It is an excellent Frankenpad donor or for use in original configuration.

T8100 Penryn 2.1GHz/3MB/800MHz (much cooler and has the same performance, has Dual-IDA enabled)
2GB RAM
160GB HD
14.1in XGA
128MB nVidia Quadro NVS 140M (have been using this laptop for few months daily and no signs of the dreaded nVidia problem so it is unlikely that it occurs)
DVD Multiburner
Intel 802.11agn wireless (Intel 4965AGN now but whitelists are cleared and one could put any wireless card he/she likes in it)
Bluetooth, Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure chip,
Fingerprint reader
6c Li-Ion (new Lenovo original battery, holds charge for ~4 hours)
90W AC adapter

Machine looks like new, there are no scratches on the lid, palmrest and keyboard are like new, e.g. no shine at all.

I am asking $300+shipping (~$40 to US/Canada, $25 to Europe) for this nice machine.

I am very interested. Do you know what it would take to convert this to SXGA? Would it just be a screen swap or would I need a new motherboard?

Just the LCD panel itself, nothing else.

Very interesting, I dont want to be perceived as barging in - but I am in the market for such a motherboard and was doing my research and discovered this thread just now.

I recently bought the wrong motherboard for such a project and I am evaluating a non-nvidia board just today as well. I appreciate your comments about having a working one, or bug free as far as you know. I suppose that the working system brings new comfort about the nvidia board, but it brings all the other parts overhead as well. So I echo the last post and ask if you dropped the user replaceable parts, what would the price be please? if you only want the system as a whole sale, I can do the 300 but prefer it to be the all-in price for pack and ship and tracking if you accept such a negotiated offer. If you have other use for the ram/hd/burner it would be great to get to my original target of 200.

Does this have Vista or XP COA sticker on the bottom - something important to me.

Where was this bought, are you original owner, and where would this ship from please?
Thank you,
Kevin
